If I could recommend just one museum to visit in Rio de Janeiro, it’s this one! MAR is one of the best presented museum spaces I’ve ever visited. There’s so much care & thought out into every exhibition and I’ve loved every visit there. Even if the programme doesn’t seem too interesting - just go! It’s always well worth it.

Fantastic museum with special exhibitions from famous collectors. Nice layout and professional exhibition taste. Elegant lighting and informative descriptions. Nice staff. Free admission. Btw the cafeteria is great with reasonable price.

Visited on a Tuesday when most museums give free entry. There were amazing exhibits spread across different floors. Really well curated, lovely staff. A really enjoyable visit.

Very good museum, I was here with a tour guide which made it a smooth experience with lots of knowledge of what the different types of art are representing and who made them. It was a very nice, abstract experience with meaning.

Cool museum, astounding view over Rio and Museum of Tomorrow, the museum shows were well presented and interesting. Only problem : the museum only takes a card (no cash) for purchasing tickets. Luckily some nice Italian tourists let me give them $40 Reais to buy two tickets for me.
